We are very pleased to have Dr. John R. Patrick here with us today to discuss a topic that is near and dear to all of our hearts, the American healthcare system. On John Patrick’s business card it says he is President of Attitude LLC. He is also former vice president of Internet technology at IBM. But, if you read between the lines — or have heard him speak at conferences throughout the world or read one of the many articles he’s been featured in — you’ll see that John’s unofficial title is healthcare and technology visionary. It’s one of the reasons why Business 2.0 magazine named him one of The 25 Most Intriguing Minds of the New Economy.
John has written six books. They are part of a series called It’s All About Attitude. John was a founding member of the World Wide Web Consortium at MIT in 1994, a founding member and past chairman of the Global Internet Project, a member of the Internet Society and the American College of Healthcare Executives, a senior member of the Association for Computing Machinery, and a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. John has been a business and technology advisor to numerous companies. He is a board member at Keeeb, Inc. and OCLC, Inc. He is a member of the Nuvance Health Biomedical Innovation and Research Council. John lives in Danbury, Connecticut and Palm Coast, Florida with his wife Joanne. His website is at johnpatrick.com. Follow him on Twitter @johnrpatrick. His email is [email protected]
So, without further ado, it is my pleasure to introduce today’s speaker, John Patrick.
