The video presentation starts with some Internet World ’95 awards and door prizes (provided by NEC Technologies, Clarus, Spry, Prodigy, etc.) – incidentally, the winner of the highest award through polling was ‘The Yahoos’. Approximately 8.5 minutes into the video, a terrific human being and evangelist is introduced to the audience — John Patrick (Vice President of Internet Applications at IBM). John delivers a powerful 40 minute speech, driving home the idea called ‘Get Connected‘ – a concept which enables businesses to utilize the power of the internet for communications, thereby opening themselves up to their constituencies.
