The Future of Health Care and the Internet
 
If you are interested in health care or the internet, or both, come to the Tuesday, May 6th. general meeting of the Danbury Area Computer Society (DACS) to hear an industry expert speak about the future of health care in the internet age.
 
At its May general meeting, DACS will host a presentation by Dr. John Patrick about the future of health care and the internet. An ex-Vice President of Internet Technology at IBM, Dr. Patrick is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He will speak about the many ways that health care quality and health care delivery methods can be improved through the use of internet-connected devices. Dr. Patrick’s talk will also cover topics such as home health care monitoring, wearable devices that connect to the internet, personalized health care from our genomes, e-prescriptions, and e-dispensing.
 
DACS General Meetings are free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome. The May 6th. meeting will be held at the Danbury Hospital, in the Auditorium. Directions and more information are available atwww.DACS.org . Doors open at 6:30 PM for registration and casual networking. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM with Ask DACS, an open Q&A session, followed by the main presentation at 8:00 PM.
