We arrived in Palm Coast In the early afternoon, I spent some time unpacking, and then I headed for the hot tub. This is part of my recovery plan. The part I did not plan on was the difficulty getting in and especially out of the tub. It was great to see a handful of friends in the lobby where I was taking a break.
I walked 2,500 steps, which is three times more than I had been walking in Connecticut. Part of this is heading to the elevator, going down to the parking garage at the bottom of the building and walking to the car to head for appointments. Whatever the reason, I am already getting a lot more steps than I was before we got here.
I would like to share a few pictures with you about where we live in Florida.
This first one is a view from our east side terrace on the eighth floor.
This second picture is from our west side terrace. You can see a number of small homes and some of the seven condo towers, which are north of our building.
This picture is from our west side terrace also but Aimed slightly north toward the golf course. It was a bit cloudy at the time I took this picture, but the golfers were out there, even though you can’t see them very clearly in this picture. By two o’clock they had moved quite far along toward the 18th hole.
This last picture is from my office facing the Lego wall. I have a new one of the Trevi Fountain in Rome, which I left on display in Connecticut. It was quite complex. I brought the Ford Bronco Lego kit along, which I’ll have to squeeze in somewhere once I complete building it.

My next presentation will be at Heritage Hills in Somers, NY on June 9.
I have not attended any C[I] Forecast for more than six months. The one I attended this week featured General David H. Petraeus, former CIA Director and former Commander of U.S. Central Command. The topic was Venezuela’s sudden collapse, what this means for American power, global energy, and Iran. The Q&A was robust. I learned a lot. I have always admired Petraeus.
