John worked for IBM for about thirty-five years and receives a pension from the company. He runs his own company, Attitude LLC, as its only employee.

His blog is independent. It carries no advertising fees or commissions and reflects only his own opinions. He occasionally writes for publishers for a fee, and his paid speaking is handled through a separate speakers’ bureau.

John generally doesn’t forward messages he receives, except when someone needs help or a reference, or when the content could benefit others.
