Dear Joe,
Congratulations on your retirement from IBM. It doesn’t seem that long ago that we were both in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in the branch office. I am sure you are very proud of your nearly thirty-nine years with the company. You contributed a great deal — especially in squeezing many dollars of revenue and profit from IMS. Your record will go down in history as one of the all-time successful product marketing successes.
You also deserve commendation for your contributions to the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra. Your annual brunches are memorable and your leadership role during the turn-around time of the orchestra is much appreciated by Ridgefield’s classical music supporters.
Joe, I wish you the very best for a happy, healthy, active, and fulfilling retirement. I am sure you will soon find your self busier than ever and wondering how you ever had time for IMS.
